Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Gokul, an independent developer based in India ("we", "us", "our"), governing your use of the 2minsplank iPhone app and gokulkrish.com/apps/2minsplank (together, the "Service").

By downloading, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) and able to enter into a binding contract.

What 2minsplank is (and isn't)

2minsplank is a fitness and focus tool. You choose apps to lock using Apple's Screen Time system and earn access back by completing a plank that the app verifies with on-device pose detection.

It is not a medical device, a treatment, a parental-control product, or a security tool. See the health and Screen Time sections below.

The Service also includes streaks, XP, achievements, statistics, streak protection, emergency access, Home Screen widgets and a streak-deadline Live Activity. Feature availability and allowances depend on your app version and subscription. Widgets and Live Activities depend on iOS settings and may update with delays.

Your license

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

You agree not to:

copy, modify, translate, or create derivative works of the app or its content;
reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly permits it;
rent, lease, sublicense, resell or redistribute the app;
remove or obscure any proprietary notices.

Subscriptions and billing

Subscription details are shown before purchase. The App Store purchase confirmation shows the applicable price, billing period and any eligible trial or offer. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings.

Pro is an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the App Store. The price, billing period and any introductory offer are shown in the app and on the App Store listing before you confirm a purchase.

Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Free trial. If a free trial is offered and you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the paid subscription begins automatically. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Cancellation. Cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are provided (or not) by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. Changes apply to future periods and are communicated by Apple as required.

Free plan and changes

The free plan currently lets you lock up to three apps, with one streak freeze and one emergency unlock per month. Pro raises those limits and adds features. Limits and features may evolve between versions; we'll always show current limits in the app before you make a purchase decision.

Data, notifications and offers

Our Privacy Policy explains on-device camera processing and remote processing by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, anonymous authentication, our offer backend, messaging providers and RevenueCat. Local reset does not delete remote service records or cancel subscriptions.

Marketing notifications can be disabled in app Settings; iOS controls notification permission. Returning-user offers may depend on verified subscription status, eligibility, deadlines and connectivity. The purchase confirmation determines the available offer and charge. Notifications are not guaranteed to arrive or arrive before an offer expires. Camera form feedback, streak alerts and Live Activities are aids, not safety-critical services.

Health and safety

Exercise carries risk. You are responsible for your own safety:

Consult a qualified physician before starting a new exercise routine, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or have a medical condition.
Stop immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, numbness or shortness of breath.
Use a mat, keep your space clear, and don't plank with your phone or other objects where you might fall on them.

Pose detection is an automated estimate, not a coach standing over you. It can be wrong in poor lighting, loose clothing or unusual positions, and it may count a hold that isn't perfect or pause one that is. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose or treat any condition.

Screen Time limitations

Blocking depends on Apple's Screen Time frameworks and on permissions you grant. That means:

If you revoke Screen Time access, or Apple changes or restricts these APIs, blocking stops working.
The lock can be bypassed outside the app (for example, by removing the app or changing device settings). It is a commitment device, not a jail.
We are not responsible for apps that are or aren't blocked, for missed notifications, or for any consequences of losing access to an app.
Never rely on 2minsplank for safety-critical blocking, parental supervision, or emergencies. Streak freezes and emergency unlocks are conveniences, not guarantees of access.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:

use it in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
interfere with, disrupt or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or related systems;
circumvent purchase requirements or security features;
use the Service to harm yourself or others.

Intellectual property

The app, this website, and all of their content, design, graphics, branding and software are owned by Gokul or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a licence to use the app — they don't transfer any ownership. The name "2minsplank" and its logo are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

The app is licensed, not sold, and your licence is limited to use on Apple-branded devices as set out in the App Store Terms of Service.
Apple has no warranty obligations with respect to the app. Any claims relating to the app (product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection) are our responsibility, not Apple's.
If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we — not Apple — are responsible for the investigation, defence and settlement.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government prohibited-parties list.

Third-party services

The app relies on services provided by others, including Apple (App Store, Screen Time, notifications) and RevenueCat (subscription management). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their parts of the Service. We are not responsible for third-party services we don't control.

Availability and disclaimers

We work to keep the Service running, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation, or that the Service will meet your expectations. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost streaks, missed workouts, or consequences of apps being locked or unlocked, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us (via Apple) in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US$50 (or the equivalent in your currency). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms or of any law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.

Before going to court, you agree to contact us at support@gokulkrish.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. Nothing in this section prevents either of us from seeking urgent injunctive relief, or limits any consumer rights you have under the mandatory laws of your country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of the page will change, and for material changes we'll surface a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any Apple terms that apply, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
